Material selection must consider the complete operating environment rather than the alloy name alone.

  • Medium, concentration, temperature and pressure
  • Continuous or intermittent use and cleaning
  • Load, welding and assembly
  • Permitted corrosion rate and service life

Typical Directions

Titanium is commonly considered where corrosion resistance and weight both matter. Tantalum and niobium may be considered for selected special media, high-temperature or electronic applications. Final selection requires operating data.
